What Does Membership Support?

Joining the Quintessentials is much like paying your dues when you were a player, in fact, we tried to model it on how we structure our player dues. But, you have a bit more freedom. As a Quintessential you can choose to prioritize the club, the foundation, or split your support between both.

Club Support

• Equipment and training resources – Tackle Dummies, A Scrum Sled, Video Equipment, etc.
• Quin-In-Need Support – we support several players who otherwise wouldn’t be able to play the greatest game on earth. Donations help us help more players
• Match-day operations – better sideline support drives better results on gamedays
• Coaching and fields – beyond the variable costs of the game, there are fixed costs that every club faces. We’re not settling for average. We want the best coaching and the facilities and space to allow those coaches to grow the game.

DHQ Foundation Support

• Youth rugby growth programs – it’s great to have our own youth program, and invest in that, but the youth is the future of the game, and we want to support more than just Quins
• Scholarships – we never want money to be the reason a player doesn’t better their game
• Representative rugby opportunities – Several players are offered opportunities to travel overseas for representative opportunities, or select-side tours. Those experiences are transformational in young ruggers’ careers.
• Community outreach initiatives – growing a rugby club takes more than just recruiting players from high schools and colleges. It takes preaching the gospel and transitioning athletes into rugby. Camps and clinics can be a great way to do that.
• Coach and referee certification – we also sponsor players who want to give back to the game through coaching or refereeing. The rugby community always needs more referees and coaches. Not to mention, you shouldn’t get to complain about the quality of refereeing or coaching if you haven’t done it yourself. Often, a thankless job.

Together, these investments help create the next generation of players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and leaders.

Black Membership – $50/Month or $600/Year

Diamond Membership – $100/Month or $1200/Year

Mountain Topper Membership – $250+/Month or $3000+/Year

FAQ

How do the annual gifts work?

Every Quintessential receives an annual thank-you gift.

Membership gifts are distributed after completion of the membership year to recognize sustained support and ensure that contributions have maximum impact on the club and foundation. We’ll try to vary the items year after year.

Special recognition items may be awarded for milestone anniversaries, including five-year, ten-year, and longer-term memberships.

Do I have to give monthly?

Many members choose to contribute monthly, but annual giving is also available.

You may make your entire annual contribution in a single payment if that is more convenient. As long as your donation crosses the threshold, it will count for these membership levels.

Annual Contribution Options:

• Green: $300
• Black: $600
• Diamond: $1,200
• Mountain-Topper: $3,000+

I already sponsor the club, support fundraising campaigns, or donate to specific initiatives. Does that count toward Quintessentials membership?

The Quintessentials is a dedicated alumni membership program and operates separately from sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, tours, Nationals fundraising, merchandise purchases, and other club initiatives.

As a general rule, if your contribution is tied to a specific purpose or includes a specific benefit—such as advertising, logo placement, event sponsorship, or merchandise—it does not count toward Quintessentials membership.

Of course, we welcome and appreciate supporters who participate in both and are happy to discuss specific examples on a case-by-case basis.

A portion of your contribution may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Members will receive appropriate documentation for any tax-deductible portion of their contribution.
