Registration
Whether you’re brand new to rugby, returning after time away, or an experienced player looking for a new club, we’re excited to welcome you to the Dallas Harlequins.
Step 1: Register with USA Rugby (Get “CIPPed”)
All players must register through USA Rugby’s registration platform, Xplorer Rugby.
Your USA Rugby registration (commonly referred to as being “CIPPed”) provides player registration, eligibility verification, and insurance coverage required for participation in sanctioned rugby activities.
To register:
- Create or log into your account on Xplorer Rugby
- Select the Dallas Harlequins as your club.
- Complete the required registration and payment process.
- Ensure your registration remains active throughout the season.
If you’ve played rugby before, you may already have an existing Xplorer account. If you’re unsure, contact a club officer and we’ll help you get connected.
Participation Requirements
For safety, insurance, and eligibility reasons, all players are expected to complete their USA Rugby registration before participating in contact rugby activities.
Training
- New players are welcome to visit and observe training sessions.
- Non-contact introductory activities may be available for prospective players.
- Players participating in contact drills and full-contact training are expected to be currently CIPPed through USA Rugby.
- CIPP registration starts in September and runs until the following August. That covers one 15s season and one 7s season each year. If you only CIPP in June, it will still expire at the end of August.
Matches
To be eligible for any league, tournament, or sanctioned match, players must:
- Be currently registered (CIPPed) through USA Rugby.
- Meet any applicable competition eligibility requirements.
- Be in good standing with the club.
Club Dues
In addition to USA Rugby registration, players are expected to pay team dues.
Because participation levels, schedules, travel commitments, and operating costs vary, dues are determined by each team. Team leadership will discuss current dues, payment options, and expectations during the registration process.
If cost is a concern, please speak with a club officer or team leader. The Dallas Harlequins are committed to helping interested players find a path onto the field.
